Watergate 16 Hours 2019 Result

Putrajaya News - Watergate 16 Hours Larian Ultra-Marathon

PRESINT 5 – Aktiviti larian semakin mendapat perhatian orang ramai apabila pelbagai penganjuran larian jarak dekat mahupun jauh diadakan di seluruh negara.

Penganjuran aktiviti itu sejajar dalam usaha kerajaan meningkatkan gaya hidup sihat dalam kalangan masyarakat.

Justeru itu, Team Pacat telah menganjurkan satu Program Larian Watergate 16 Hours edisi yang kelima di Taman Seri Empangan, Putrajaya dengan sokongan Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) dan kerjasama Ultron, Checkpoint, Running Lab dan Bio Tech.

Seramai 450 orang peserta telah menyertai larian ini berumur 18 hingga 74 tahun dan bayaran yuran serendah RM50 hingga RM180 dikenakan kepada para peserta.

Wakil dari penganjur Team Pacat, Zulkiflee Zainal berkata, tujuan program ini adalah untuk memberi satu langkah kepada peserta yang baru berjinak dalam ultra-marathon.

‘’Bagi ultra marathon kali ini kami menggalakkan peserta untuk bermula dengan ‘Loop Game’ iaitu berdasarkan konsep time base, peserta diberi masa selama 16 jam bermula 8.30 malam hingga keesokkan harinya dengan jarak sejauh lima kilometer bagi satu pusingan untuk bergelar pemenang.

“Saya berharap lebih ramai lagi peserta yang akan menyertai program ini pada masa akan datang kerana kami menyediakan kemudahan laluan yang baik yang strategik kepada peserta,” katanya.

Change of Race Pack Collection date and venue

Kindly take note that we have a new date and venue of the RPC as below:

Date/time : Sunday, 8 Jan 2017, from 11:00am until 5:00pm
Venue : Running Lab @ Tropicana City Mall, Seksyen 20, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

No collection on race day (14 Jan 2017) except for those who have made special arrangement with us.

Don't forget, all participants are entitled for a 15% storewide discount at both Tropicana and the newly open Pavilion outlet. Just present your confirmation slip or race bib to enjoy the discount.

New record at Watergate 16 Hours 2016

Congratulation to Ah Siow from Singapore who not only retain his Men's Open title but also set a course record of 26 loops, which translated to 130km in 15 h 55m 56s. 1st runner up goes to Lim Yew Kuay from Petaling Jaya, Selangor who completed 24 loops in 15h 12m 19s. 2nd runner up goes to another Singaporean, Ben Swee with 22 loops in 15h 18m 21s.

Meanwhile in the Women's Open category, Lim Teng Doll from Selangor become the new champion with 21 loops in 15h 23m 49s. 1st runner up Lee Li Ching from Ipoh, Perak completed 19 loops in 15h 24m 10s and 2nd runner up is Salmiah Rolan from Ampang, Selangor completed 18 loops in 15:16:59.

We would like to congratulate all participants and thank you to all sponsors, partners and supporters.

Special shout out to our group of dedicated volunteers, V-Army for their help on the day, particularly in helping the Race Pack Collection and also manning the food/drink stations.

We hope that all runners and volunteers enjoyed this year's experience and will continue to give your support to the event in future years.
